The Delhian Moon

There is a bright moonbeam

That shines down here in the dark

Within its ivory glow

Are good morning kisses

Fulfilled wishes

And songs as beautiful as the lark

Its rays of silver

Upon midnight corners shine

It brightens everywhere

On the troubled, the bad

The weary, the sad

Its light there for all time

So keep away sunlight

Do not try to awaken the dawn

For my moonbeam

My forever

My other half that’s always better

Has already given me a beautiful morn
